We provide translations for a variety of documents, including:

One-page document translations can be completed within 48 hours during business hours, although turnaround times may vary for certain languages.

If you do not reside in Lincoln or Omaha, don’t worry! Just give us a call, and we will provide you with instructions on how to submit the documents for us to translate.

24-Hour Service

Even though our office is open during business hours to answer calls and reply to emails from the general public, our interpretation services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Since our services (in-person, over the phone, and via remote interpretation) are prescheduled, our interpreters cover requests for appointments at hospitals, emergencies, surgeries, home visits, manufacture/business training, and legal requests whenever needed (prescheduled). We have teams of interpreters in Omaha, Lincoln, Grand Island, Crete, and surrounding areas.

At NIS, we know that effective communication is an essential component of any relationship. We train our interpreters to bridge language barriers with sensitivity to the needs of the community members they serve. Our signature service is on-site interpretation, where the interpreter is physically present with both parties. We also offer telephonic interpretations (over-the-phone appointments, or “OPI”s) and video remote interpretations (“VRI”s), in addition to translation services.

The owner of NIS is herself a professional Spanish interpreter with a career spanning over 15 years in Nebraska. An interpreter-owner means NIS uses best practices that match real-world settings. We also regularly provide training to our team of professional interpreters, meaning you can have confidence in the accuracy of our services. 

We ensure confidentiality and professionalism because we know that your privacy is important. With partners in numerous industries including medical, legal, education, public health, and community organizations, we are always HIPAA compliant.
